    My Pc shuts down automatically at 20%


    I've the same question of this link https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/pc-keeps-shutting-down-automatically-at-20-battery/8b95e082-946f-4f91-9ab4-414e75423808 I've tried all the solutions you suggest but nothing changed, but when I tried to open it in safe mode it works fine and it doesn't shutdown so please help me to solve this problem

    Hi Abhinav,

    There can be a lot of causes for the issue. A possible cause is the hardware of the device. However, we'd like to be sure and to help us narrow down the causes, we'd like to ask these questions:

    • What is the date when the issue started to happen?
    • What is the make and model of your device?
    • Are you still able to open the device after it shuts down?
    • Any troubleshooting steps you've done to resolve the issue?

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    I understand that the PC is shutting down automatically when using.



    I would suggest you to run the powercfg
    command to generate the sleep diagnostic report to analyze the issue further. Kindly follow the steps to generate the report.



    1. Click on the Search Bar
      on the Taskbar and type CMD.
    2. Now right click on it and select
      Run as administrator.
    3. Type the following command and hit enter:
      powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics


    I have sent a private message to you, once the report is generated please share it through private message.



    However, if you are connected to domain network there could be some group policies affecting this, I would suggest you to post your query on

    TechNet forums    , where we have expertise and support professionals who are well equipped with the knowledge to assist you with your query.

    My Pc shuts down automatically at 20%

    PC keeps shutting down automatically at 20% battery

    After the last windows update, my PC keeps shutting down whenever the battery percentage reaches 20%. Can anyone tell me the solution?
