Windows 10: MY PC STARTS AUTOMATICALLY AFTER SHUT DOWN.

Hi there. I’m having some problems with my desktop PC, which is running Windows 10 Home 22H2 for x64-based Systems. I recently downloaded and installed the optional quality update “2023-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5031445”, after which I ran into all sorts of problems. I went back to the Restore Point created before the download and that is when I started to see the PC starting after being told to shut down. Resolution Suggestion:

# To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

PC shutting down automatically

I understand that the PC is shutting down automatically when using.



I would suggest you to run the powercfg
command to generate the sleep diagnostic report to analyze the issue further. Kindly follow the steps to generate the report.

1. Click on the Search Bar
   on the Taskbar and type CMD.
   
2. Now right click on it and select
   Run as administrator.
   
3. Type the following command and hit enter:
   powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics
