    My Pc suddenly slowed down today & it was working fine till yesterday.


    My Laptop suddenly slowed down today. From booting up to opening any window,the process is taking a long time.

    It was working perfectly till yesterday. It have 8gm ram so the question of low ram is out of the equation.

    I didn't install any third party app yesterday yet it slowed down. I have restarted it. But still the problem is there.

    I have also disabled some unwanted startup apps but still no improvement.

    Please help me.

    DVD not recognized, It worked fine till yesterday.

    DVD not recognized. It worked fine yesterday. Win10 and Nov update were installed months ago.

    I uninstalled DVD > restarted > DVD is again in device mgr but still no DVD recognized in file explorer.

    Next I uninstalled DVD AND all IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Restarted computer. All reinstalled but still no DVD recognized.

    Misc info:

    The DVD player has power and a dvd spins.

    Windows updates is set to update everything which including drivers.

    Insert a blank new dvd and nothing happens. DVD doesn’t appear in file explorer.

    Insert DVD with data on it and a window opens something is wrong with the data with option to scan & fix but selecting that choice nothing happens. But selecting open & do nothing then the data is available. DVD’s with data then DVD appears in file
    explorer until the CD/DVD is removed.

    Again I mention the DVD worked fine yesterday on all three computers now none. No Microsoft updates have been installed for 7 days. Yesterday on one computer I erased several DVD’s and on the other two I created a system repair disc. Now none work
    correctly and no DVD appears in the file explorer.

    Any suggestions?

    My Pc suddenly slowed down today & it was working fine till yesterday.

    No DVD player works in my computer today, it worked yesterday!

    I was using Windows 7 a couple days ago and the DVD player I always use in it was fine, today neither DVD player in my system shows up, just my hard drives but no DVD drives. I did a system restore to yesterday, before a latest update to Windows that
    it did, but nothing happened so I did a restore about 10 days ago and still no DVD player shows up in my drive list. But it was working a couple days ago, I watched a DVD on it. Today it is not working, and I have two DVD players and neither is working or
    even showing up in my drive list. What could be happening?
