Windows 10: My pc suddenly stopped recognizing my tv as a monitor?

I’d been using my tv as my PCs monitor for months with no problems then last night i had to take the DVD player out of it because the person I got the pic from had said it was just a player and not a burner and I had gotten one that was a burner and went to install it but when I’d gotten the original one out, I saw that it was in fact a burner after all and the person has been mistaken, so, I put it back the way it was and when I went to turn it on, it suddenly didn’t show up on the tv anymore. I tried all the input spots on the tv, I tried different cables, turned it off and on with various c

I am using Samsung series 5 Ultra laptop. installed windows 10 and upgraded to office 2015.

my laptop suddenly stopped recognizing the external monitor (HDMI connection). checked on a few different cables and monitors but nothing happens.

anyone has any suggestion how to fix this problem?

To assist you better, I would like to ask if the laptop is unable to recognize only the external monitor or other external devices also.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Click on “Hardware and Devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

Since your laptop with Windows 10 can recognize that a monitor is there, it seems that the issue could be with your TV. We suggest contacting your TV manufacturer for the appropriate settings.
