  1. My PC supports all the requirements for Windows 11 and yet says the processor is unsupported

All of the requirements are met except for the processor. The minimum requirements, in accordance with this article, CPU's must be clocked at 1Ghz and have 2 or more cores. My Intel Core i7-7700 CPU has 4 cores and is clocked at 3.60Ghz with a Turbo Mode speed of 4.20Ghz. Which means both requirements are met. Even my previous processor, the Intel Core i5-7500T, had 4 cores and was clocked at 2.70Ghz with a Turbo Mode speed of 3.10Ghz, which again meets the requirements.System specsMy PC supports all the requirements for Windows 11 and yet says the processor is unsupported :processor: Intel Core i7-7700 @ 3.60Ghz Turbo 4.20Ghz, 4 coresRAM: 32GBStorage: 500GB SATA, 1TB M.2 1.5TB

the processor isn't currently supported for windows 11

Patty, check the list for Windows 11, not the list for Windows 10. Your processor is "not supported," although it will run Windows 11 just fine. You have to follow instructions for installing Windows 11 on unsupported PCs.

These are the Intel processors blessed to run Windows 11:

processor not supported in windows 11

    Hi Willwork4food

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Microsoft were testing and adding some more processors, and did add some to the list, they indicate they have now completed testing, and no more processors will be added to the official list.

It is possible to install Windows 11 on an unsupported processor using the Windows 11 ISO, I have Windows 11 installed on an unsupported Core i7 7700QH processor and Windows 11 runs very smoothly, however Microsoft advise you do not do that, they will not be liable for any problems caused by doing that and also you would not receive Windows 11 updates, however, everyone that has installed Windows 11 on an unsupported processor is still receiving updates.

Another option would be to contact your PC manufacturer to see if that processor can be upgraded.

    Win 11 processor requirements

    Hi SalPerniola,

I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Unfortunately, your processor is not on the supported processor list for Windows 11.

See the link below for supported processors for Windows 11.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardwa...

Microsoft does not recommend installing Windows 11 on computers that are not supported. Your device may malfunction due to compatibility or other issues.

In the article below, you will find more details about the principles that guided the minimum system requirements for Windows 11.

    https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2021/...

I suggest you don't try to install Windows 11 on an unsupported device, especially if it's your primary device that you need in your daily life. Of course, the choice is yours.

It is a good idea to check with your computer manufacturer about the possibility of upgrading your processor to make your computer 100% compatible with Windows 11.

Feel free to ask back any questions.
