Windows 10: My pc takes too long or doesnt wake up after it goes to sleep

Hello Microsoft Community.


I bought my computer with windows 7 home edition. It was working fine. It doesn't have any problem at all. Since the update or migration to windows 10 demand by Microsoft. My PC is starting to have few issues.


First is the sleeping problem... as soon it goes to the sleep mode, to turn it back on takes forever. Most of the time I need to show down the computer to be able to turn it back on and use it. This is very frustrated and annoying.


Second, I noticed sometimes when I turn on my computer it takes forever to open up the main screen. Sometimes works fast and open up the screen but there are other occasions it doesn't happen.


I updated my drives and the softwares it use, specially windows, but I still having the same issues.


I tried few tips given by microsoft but nothing works...


Do any one have the same issue or similar? Can someone gives a good recommendation?

My computer is a dell.

Computer Wakes Up From Sleep And Goes Back To Sleep?

Maybe you have something configured to sleep when idle. Check that on your power settings.

 

Sleep / Wake Function, malfunctions after waking

If you are having issues waking your PC from sleep, we suggest running the
Power troubleshooter as an initial troubleshooting. Kindly follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type Troubleshoot, and then press Enter.
• Under Find and fix other problems, click on Power.
• Click on Run the troubleshooter button.
• Follow the onscreen guide.

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.
