    My PC turns on but monitor, mouse and keyboard won't work


    For a few days I had problems with my PC. When my monitor went in standby and I tried to turn it back on, at first it would say that it had no signal and after insisting turning off and on, the monitor would connect but the PC would freeze. I fixed this problemy simply turning the PC off and on. Also had problems with my mouse and keyboard, they would sometimes turn off for no reason and turn back on after a few seconds. Today I tried booting up my PC but my monitor, mouse and keyboard wouldn't turn on, I tried to see if my old PS/2 keyboard would work but in vain and I made sure that all my d

    Monitors will not turn off/Screen saver won;t activate


    Hi guys. I have been trying to get my monitors to shut off so I don't get a burn in on my screens. I can't seem to figure out what is causing them to stay on. I tried enabling a screen saver which won't turn on and I also tried making a keyboard shortcut to turn off the monitor with a cmd command. Whenever I use the shortcut the monitors go down for a second and then pop right back on. I read somewhere it could be my mouse or keyboard causing it to stay awake, but I don;t think this is the problem seeing as it was fine on windows 7. Can anybody help me out?

    Is it possible to use keyboard/mouse to turn pc on ?

    "If" you can get into the PC's BIOS and "if" your BIOS supports it, there's an option to power the PC on by mouse or keyboard...

    However, I'm unable to verify if a wireless mouse or keyboard would work because it seems this option is no longer listed in my recent BIOS update so I can't test it. FYI, the image above is from different BIOS posted online.
