I have windows 10 pro product key.i bought it from ebay.i feel in 2023 year my windows 10 os crash currpted or something went wrong. I have three pc's.i check what product keys are in there.this 3 pcs active with that key.im not active 2pcs with that key.but i before using this two motherboards with that key and now i using that two boards using another hardware components.it is automatically activated.i installed fresh copy of windows 10 using media creation tool and go without product key in setup and after did that step connect pc to internet to get missing driver in that time pc automatica

Product key association disable on old pc

I sold my old pc to a friend. He installed some missing parts (HDD, GPU and RAM). Then we installed Windows 10 Home 64-bit version from USB stick. I was surprised to see that windows was automatically activated after that. I did some digging and found out that it is using my product key, which i use now in my own new pc. My friend does not have his own product key, the idea was that he just uses the unactivated windows with limited features.


I uninstalled my Windows 10 product key via command prompt in friends computer (as i understand this is only local solution, if he reinstall windows or clicks the active button, it reactivates automatically with my product key) and now it says windows is not activated, but my product key is still shown with Produkey app in his pc. So far windows is still activated my own pc.


My questions:

1. Is this all i need to do?
2. How do i get rid of product key showing still with product key showing apps on my friend's computer?
3. Is there a way to get rid of association of my product key on that old pc that i sold to friend?

EDIT: I originally installed windows 10 via upgrade option from Windows 7, if that matters.

 

Can't remove disconnected (ghost) network device

Thanks for the suggestion, but it can't remove the NIC:




It's the only Intel I219-V that shows up in the device list of the DeviceCleaner program (it shows only non-present devices as I understand). Otherwise, the tool works - I found a ghost replica of the integrated GPU (Intel HD 530) and could remove it. Only the NIC gives this error message on removal, which is probably the reason I can't remove it the normal way through the device manager.

 

Remove Ghost drive

I have a ghost CD drive with letter "I" which only shows in Win 10 File Explorer. This drive is not seen in Disk Management, or Device Manager ( with all hidden drives shown) or in DiskPart Volume list. Can anyone please advise how to remove this? It looks like the icon for that drive is the icon used for Power Iso software, which is quite different to the icons used in File Explorer for my two physical DVD drives. I opened PowerIso, but could not see any Cd drive. I unmounted all drives and re-booted my PC, ghost CD drive still appears in File Explorer
