    My Pc got Rebooted without my permission (event id 1074, 1530, 916, Tons of EVENT During that Reboot time) URGENT HELP!!

    My HTPC rebooted after some windows update - it runs Windows 10 and I haven't messed with things to disable the auto update features of the OS. My Win 7 computer, she didn't reboot, but I have it setup to not update anything without my permission.

    My Win 7 work computer reboot for windows update - I get no control over this since updates are handled through the server.

    So, last night Windows was kind enough to push out some kind of update(s) that required a restart seeing as it was the second Tuesday of the month.

    Been Signed up for Skype without my permission.

    Win 10 has just been updated and now it is signing me up automatically for apps like Skype without my permission. I have had a notice that it has sent my email to Skype and I am to have it installed. This is a breach of my personal choice of what gets installed
    on my own PC. It also took away software during the update like CCleaner that I had installed. What else has Microsoft done without my permission during the latest update?

    Microsoft should not be able to automatically sign me up for software without my permission or giving away my email details without my permission or take away software I have installed during an update.

    Windows will reboot to load updates without my express permission?

    I sometimes run jobs on my PC that take upto a week, to complete. These cannot be restarted part way through so I need to make sure the PC will not reboot in that timeframe. Can someone confirm whether Windows will reboot to load updates without my express
    permission?

    I've seen more than one MS Support person state that it will always prompt you first but I need to be sure it won't then timeout and reboot at some point.
