  1. My PC Won't Boot Up Unless Windows Boot Manager Is Option #1 Instead Of My C: Drive Which...

I recently had to do a complete reinstall of windows using a USB. Everything else is fine, but when I tried to play Valorant it needs to boot from Safe Mode As always. I cannot turn on safe mode and use Windows UEFI It won't boot up. My idea is that if I can boot it up from my C: drive this issue is fixed. But my main issue is that I am unable to boot up my computer unless I boot it up with Windows Boot Manager as Boot Option #1. Anyone know a fix to this where I can boot my pc up with My C: Drive as Boot Option #1? MB : Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI IIC: Drive - SSD LEXAR 500gb

    :)

need some boot help with windows 7

In the boot menu you can choose any drive to boot to and say I choose drive C it wont boot. C has my os on it but if I choose the option to let windows boot manager choose how it boots it starts up fine. It is the same menu that allows you to set your boot order in your bios. I used easy boot and it shows only one os option but does show two boot small boot partions on drive c in the back up utility. I can boot to a cd drive or usb drive but not to the C drive with my os unless I choose the windows boot manager option. If I choose that option it boots fine. Seems like it is acting like I have a dual boot .

How does Windows boot to advanced recovery option e.g. command prompt?

    - that gives me a 454 'Unexpected error' This tells me that the BCD is partially corrupted.

    The commands: shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00
    or: %SystemRoot%\System32\Cmd.exe /c reagentc /boottore&shutdown /r /f /t 00
should boot into Recovery if everything is configured correctly.
FYI, If Windows is configured correctly:
    1. If Reagentc is disabled, you still can get into Recovery but with limited options.
    2. If Reagentc is enabled, you'll get all options.
    3. If you boot Windows using Recovery USB stick, You'll get into Recovery with couple of options missing.

Here's my suggestion if you want to try:
OPTION 1: Will save the trouble of re-install Windows.

    1. Download the image of my first 3 partitions (450MB Recovery, 100 MB EFI partition, and 16MB unformatted primary)
      EFI_Boot-00-00.7z - Google Drive
    2. Run Macrium and restore the image from step 1, overwriting your existing 1st three partitions, leaving C alone.
    3. Delete the 490MB Recovery partition.
    4. From Macrium, run fix boot problems.
    5. Reboot. Open Admin command prompt then run Reagentc /info to make sure that it is enabled. If not, enable it.
if failed to enable, reboot and try again.
OPTION 2: Assuming you've already had Windows backup with Macrium.

    1. Wipe out the first 5 parttiions. (450MB, 100MB, 16MB, C Drive, 480MB)
    2. Fresh install Windows 10
    3. Restore C drive from backup image, run fix boot problems
    4. repeat step 5 from OPTION 1 above.

  4. My PC Won't Boot Up Unless Windows Boot Manager Is Option #1 Instead Of My C: Drive Which...

My PC stopped booting to C: drive and now boots to Boot Manager

Since I do not have a Windows Install disk i can’t use the first two options. Also the boot manager is not missing. My PC boots fine and works properly but it is booting to the boot manager and not my C: drive. So in light of this should i attempt to do
a clean install of Windows 10?
