Windows 10: My Pc Won't Reset, Recover, Repair, or Restore.

Recently my pc started shutting down on its own and restarting randomly. It happened once, and then became more and more frequent. At first I could look my OS for about 2 mins and then it would freeze. Now I can't login at all. I can't even get past the startup. I tried startup repair which failed. I've tried Media installation which failed. System restore does not work at all. It also gives an error message when trying. I've gotten different error messages as I tried fixing it, but as I fixed one, another new error message would arrise. I can boot to a media installation USB, but can't actual

Windows 10 Advanced Options Menu to Repair

I would try the following steps in order:

1. Remove the laptop main battery for a few minutes - may reset something
2. Load BIOS defaults
3. Install Macrium Reflect Free on another PC, create a Reflect USB repair disk then use that disk to repair your laptop
4. Recover from backup if you have one
5. Perform a Windows 10 repair install - see instructions on this forum

 

Volume Mute Light won´t change color

Which steps did you perform? Was this from a clean boot?
Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste this command: shutdown /r /o /f /t 00
It will boot to the recovery options or windows advanced troubleshooting menu.
Click troubleshooting and click reset this computer. You will be saving files. Applications and programs will be removed. Windows will be reinstalled.
Enter your windows logon password.
You will see getting things ready with rotating dots.
Click resetting this PC.
It will then display the HP logo with resetting this PC with rotating dots and a percentage.

 

Windows won't reset or restore, Automatic repair loop

When the Automatic repair fails, we can suggest using the command prompt from Windows 10 Boot Options menu to run bootrec commands to fix the files the Auto Repair couldn't. Here are the steps:

• On the windows Recovery Option, choose Troubleshoot >
  Advanced Options.
• Select Command Prompt.
• Enter the following commands in the Command Prompt:

• bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
• bootrec.exe /fixmbr
• bootrec.exe /fixboot

Once the repair is done, restart your PC and check if the issue is resolved. Let us know the outcome, so we could provide further assistance as necessary.
