Windows 10: My phone number was entered to many times Now it wont let me type it in anymore to add as a...

I have a problem with my phone number, It seems I've entered my phone number to many times. So it now says something like Verification not working at the moment Try another method. Im trying to redeem my reward but i need my phone number added to do so. Is there anyway to bypass this phone number problem?

Increase number of rings before answer phone

Lumia 635

1. Click on Phone icon

2. Click on Dialpad

3. Enter *#67#

4. Click Call

5. Make a note of the phone number that comes up (it should say something like, "Forward busy calls is enabled to" ... and then phone number ... "for voice"

• For example: phone number = 19084006990

6. Click Close

7. Click on Dialpad

8. Enter **61*19084006990**30#

• The digits 19084006990 are the ones noted in step 5 above
• The last two digits are for the length of time in seconds
  • Step 8 is using 30, so this entry will tell the system to make the length of time 30 seconds

Unable to enter numbers

In order to get clarity on the issue, please reply with the following details:

• Does this issue occur on any specific application?
  
• Are you unable to type any number or just facing issues in typing 5109?
  
• Are you aware of any changes on the computer prior to this issue?
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to check if the NUM lock key is on or not. If not, please press it to turn on NUM lock and try entering the numbers.



Also, you can try turning off Filter keys and check. Please follow the steps mentioned below to turn off Filter keys:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type control and click on
   OK.
   
3. Now, select Large icons for
   View by from the drop down.
   
4. Click on Ease of access.
   
5. Click on Make the keyboard easier to use.
   
6. Clear the check box for Turn on Filter keys.
   
7. Click on OK.

Instructions for entering phone numbers

Hello,

I can't find instructions for entering phone numbers in my live.com contacts ("People"). Specifically, what about hyphenation of numbers, use of parentheses for area codes, international numbers and country codes, etc.

Suggestions appreciated!
