The 'Photos' app for photo viewing has disappeared.

I do not understand this, when I returned to the PC later today my original settings had returned to the start screen, including one other tile which I had also lost but had not yet re-instated. Also the original list of 'All apps' had returned to the start
screen, including 'Photos'. There is nothing that I am aware of having done that should have caused the original disappearance of some apps from the 'All apps' list and their associated tiles, or that could have caused them to return.

It has therefore been unnecessary to follow your suggested steps, though I have done so anyway and it works as suggested. Note that I had followed your steps 1 & 2 earlier which is why I knew 'Photos' had not disappeared from the PC but was simply not
visible on the 'All apps' list and hence my inability to re-pin the tile.

Photos app - trim a video - error

Hello,
I am trying to use the built-in Windows 10 Photos app to trim a video.
I have the video playing in the Photos app and click "Trim Video" at the top.
I move the sliders to select the start and end points.
I click "Save a copy" at top-right.
The app says "It looks as though you don't have permissions to save changes to this file. Try saving a copy instead."
Having just clicked "Save a copy", I am confused as to why this error message is appearing.
I've tried copying the .mp4 to my VIDEOS folder on C: drive with the same result.
Some research has suggested to run the Photos app as Administrator, but I can't figure out how to do that.
Any suggestions on how to trim a video would be appreciated!

Photo app in Windows 10 - all photos disappeared

Hi Tanya,

Please check C:\Users\Username\Pictures if your photos and videos are still there.

Note: Replace Username to your actual username.

If the photos and videos are still there, you may check the Settings of your Photo App. Please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key. Type Photo, then select
  Photos.
• Click Settings in the left pane.
• Under Sources, you can Add/Remove the folder location.

Note: All folder listed under Sources will appear to your Photo App. If the photos and videos are saved in OneDrive, you just need to sign in using Microsoft account.
