Windows 10: My Photos Will Not Save As JPGs or PNGs

Here is a screenshot of my gallery.

Every time I go to save a photograph online by right-clicking and then selecting "save image as..." it saves the images like so, even though it claims it is going to save them as a JPG.


I have been having problems with my computer all day. At the start of the day my photos were only saving as RAR ZIP files. I asked and no one could figure it out. Eventually, I did. However, now it is stuck like this. As you can see, I tried opening the files in paint and changing them to JPGs there, but that did nothing. Does anyone know how to change it?

  Were there any changes made before the issue occurred?

  What was the last activity you did on your PC that could possibly turn your jpgs to
  pngs?

  Did you download any application lately?

  What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

PNG vs JPG - what is the difference?

Screen shots wouldn't matter although if you resize them png will react better to that

You would want to use Save As not Save unless it's an already identifiable files name you created

It maybe listed somewhere most likely the lasted saved place as untitled.
