Windows 10: My pointer disappears when it touches the taskbar.

My pointer disappears when it touches the taskbar. I want to know how to fix that.

Help! My Pointer Keeps Disappearing

This is so uncomfortable.

My pointer keeps on disappearing. This is the 3rd times.

The 1st time it happened, i googled many articles and tried many suggestion and i have no idea which one act works.

The 2nd time i was just very lucky that the pointer return after my windows auto update.

This time, it disappear again after my laptop did the auto update.

I tried the sfc scan. But because my pointer is missing i can't do the whole step by step suggested.

I can't right click or double click.

I can only use touch screen.

Plz help! This is very irritating, help!

What is the make and model of the computer?

Have you installed all pending updates and also updated all device drivers?


It is possible that you have turned off pointer by clicking on the keyboard function key.

I would suggest you to follow these steps and check if it helps.

1. Press windows key + x, and choose Control Panel.

2. Tap on Mobile PC, and then tap Pen and Input Devices.

3. Tap the Touch tab.

4. Under Touch Pointer, select the Show the touch pointer when I’m interacting with items on the screen check box.



You can also try these steps.

1. Use your finger to press and hold the taskbar.

2. Point to Toolbars, and then tap Touch Pointer.

3. To turn the touch pointer on, tap the Touch Pointer icon on the taskbar.

Further you may also update the driver from Device Manager to check if that helps.

1. press windows key + x

2. select device management

3. select the drivers and right click and update

Mouse Pointer Disappearing.

Hi,

I have this problem on my HP Pavilion 27 and HP Pro x2 612 which both have touch screens, when I change the mouse pointer to a pointer such as a rainbow one, when I touch the screen it disappears and the only way to get it back is to go through control panel
mouse settings and turn on mouse pointer shadow on and apply then turn it back off. Is there a way to fix it so i can touch the screen with out it disappearing.
