Windows 10: My problem is that OneNote for Windows 10 or OneNote specifically both versions in Windows...

I've used the clipboard history since Windows 10, and I want to use clipboard history like I did, except now in Windows 11, which shouldn't be so different or difficult, but it doesn't seem to work like it use to in Win10. I want to inform that I have both the 'clipboard history' and 'sync across your devices + auto sync text that I copy' enabled in Windows 11 settings. I've also tried turning these settings on and off to see if it helps.I use the clipboard through WinKey + V after copying stuff like words or sentences or even pictures right after each other, so I can see them after in the cli

Problems with OneNote 2013

"OneNote" is now part of the Windows 10 installation and is the most up-to-date version of the app. "OneNote 2016" is an older version no longer being updated with new features. Microsoft thus recommends using OneNote app installed with Windows.

• What's the difference between OneNote and OneNote 2016?

As for OneNote 2013, I can not speculate as I don't have it. BTW for those running Office 2019 or Office 365....

All that said, on my Win 10 machine I've got two OneNote apps installed... OneNote, and OneNote 2016 but that again, I've also got Office 365 (Academic version) installed. I use the Windows 10 version though.

BTW I just educated myself on this via your question because I didn't know what the difference was and assumed 2016 was the "newer" version. So thanks

 

OneNote 2016 occasional artifacting. Should I be worried?

I'll let the picture do the talking:





Only happens sometimes. Does not happen in any other program, even when the artifacting is happening in OneNote. OneNote is up to date. Artifacting always on bottom 1/4 of the screen, but always inside of the OneNote window.

Should I be worried about my GPU? Have had the 1070 for less than 2 weeks.

 

Import OneNote 2010 into Windows 10 OneNote


Having moved to Office 2016, I had to first install Office 2010 to a virtual test machine to get screenshots. Here we go, this is the the process which you have to repeat for each notebook you want to open in Windows 10 built-in OneNote app.

1.) If your notebooks are already stored in OneDrive, jump to step 7. If they are stored locally, open OneNote 2010.

I created a simple Sample Notebook to show this process:

2.) Open the File menu, select Info > Share on Web or Network:




3.) Select Web, click Sign In:




4.) Enter your MS account credentials:



Note If you have enabled two-step authentication on your MS account, you need first create an app password and use it here instead of the MS account password.



5.) Select in which OneDrive folder you want to save the notebook, click Share Notebook:




6.) Close OneNote 2010

7.) Open Windows 10 OneNote app. If you sign in to Windows with a Microsoft (MS) account, jump to step 11. If you sign in with a local account click Personal Microsoft Account:




8.) Sign in to your MS account:

9.) Enter your Windows password, click Sign in to just this app instead:



Note This is important! Do not click Next here, it will convert your local Windows user account to an MS account!




10.) Click Start using OneNote:




11.) You can now start using Windows 10 OneNote app, having access to your notebooks:
