Windows 10: My processor speed is limited to 0.79 Ghz Intel Core i5-2430M

Hello, good morning, afternoon or evening anyone who looks at my question, for me it is not something so serious but I think it is already somewhat annoying, the speed of my processor is limited or does not exceed 0.79 Ghz, it is an Intel Core i5 -2430M, before I could use it well with its base speed of 2.40 Ghz and turbo of 2.90 GhzI already have it at maximum performance in the energy plan, minimum 80% and maximum 100%, and it has its updated drivers and Microsoft Visuals C++ installed From my perspectiveI use my laptop from its plug and all this happened when my cat jumped on me while I w

Processor i5 4670 3.40ghz works at% 79

Thank you for responding but we are not understanding, we are talking about two different things. if you demand your processor to the maximum deveria mark performance in the use of% 100 and the speed of ghz that has its processor, in my case to demand
the maximum does not exceed 79% and the speed of 2.69 ghz is 3.40 ghz no way or opening 24 programs and 36 web pages at the same time.

 

Why does task manager show an incorrect maximum speed of 1.8ghz when it should be 3.4ghz (intel core i5-8250u)?

The i5-8250u has the following specs:

Processor Base Frequency - 1.60 GHz

Max Turbo Frequency - 3.40 GHz

Core processors use SpeedStep and TurboBoost to manage the speed of the processor to the task at hand.

If say, you encode a video, you should see the processor boot up to the 3.40 GHz limit, but in the normal run of events, it will normally be in the range of 1.6 - 2.4 GHz

If this does not happen, check in your BIOS to see if SpeedStep and TurboBoost are enabled . . .
