Windows 10: My question concerns running "Photos Legacy"with Windows 11.

After download via Microsoft Photos through Microsoft Appstore, Photos Legacy appears as installed but it is impossible to open it. Any idea about why and how ro solve the problem ?

"Start tagging" button in Windows 11 Photos Legacy does nothing

Good day JILost, thanks for your question. I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. Since the Photos app has been revamped for Windows 11 there are number of users that is encountering an issue with missing features and in this case I highly suggest to send a feedback via the Feedback Hub app by pressing Windows key + F and this will launch the app and you can take it from there and hopefully this can be addressed on the next/future update of the app and for the time being you can use the Photos Legacy and you can check out the links below for reference.

how to get Photos Legacy

I'm Christine, an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I can see here that you would like to get the Photo Legacy. No worries, I'll do my best to help you.

To get that app, please click start menu and type Photos then hit enter

Select Settings and scroll down, you'll see the Photo Legacy, please click on it. And that should give you the Photo Legacy.

Windows 10 Photos app doesn't run.

Hi,

Incompatible software installed in your PC can conflict with Windows apps and cause performance issues. We can suggest several troubleshooting steps to isolate and resolve the issue. As an initial recommendation, you can run the

Windows app troubleshooter. This will identify the cause of the issue and provide you further suggestions for troubleshooting steps.

If the issue persists, you can uninstall the Photos app and reinstall it by doing the steps below:

• Type Windows PowerShell in the search box at the taksbar.
• In the search results, right click on Windows PowerShell and
  Run as administrator.
• On the Powershell prompt, type: get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage.
• Press Enter.
• Once uninstalled, you can reinstall the app from this
  link.
