Windows 10: My question mark button only selects text.

My keyboard is a GK61 and I've had it a while and all worked well, only today I've found that when I try and type a question mark instead of typing one it selects my whole text box. The slach and shift key both work normally any idea why this could be.

Page 84 of the manual in the Write Text part of the Messaging section:

Edit text and lists

• To mark an item in a list, scroll to it, and press [pencil icon] and [centre button icon] at the same time.

• To mark multiple items in a list, press and hold [pencil icon] button while you press or [centre button icon] To end the selection, release [centre button icon] button

, then release [pencil icon] button

My question is pretty much the same as yours. What lists? I tried writing a text with a list in a variety of formats but nothing worked.

Like a text containing "thing1, thing2, thing3"

as well as on containing:

"thing1,

thing2,

thing3"

But I couldn't mark an item by pressing both buttons at the same time.

After having my Samsung Omnia 7 for a week (WHAT A SUPERB DEVICE TO BE SURE), I have been unable so far to, for instance, MARK, COPY text from anywhere on my device into an email or note. I can sometimes persuade it to mark a block of text but tapping
then holding produces no menu at all. This is utterly frustrating as I run a small business and have prepared text to reply to a variety of enquiries

I would suggest to follow the methods given below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Hardware troubleshooter

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Hardware and Devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Devices.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and Devices
  

Method 2:
update drivers

I suggest you to update drivers and check if that helps. If that issue persist please uninstall and reinstall latest drivers available in manufacturer website.

• Press “Windows + X” and select Device manger.
• Select Display Adapter and expand the driver icon.
• Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.

Method 3:Compatibility mode

If issue still persist suggest install latest available driver from manufacturer's website. If there are no windows 10 drivers then install the available driver in compatibility mode.

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
