I originally had a FIDECO USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station which I have 2 8TB hard drives plugged into it. It was previously working until which time I plugged in and installed 4 14TB hard drives in my new Mediasonic PROBOX 4 Bay 3.5” SATA Hard Drive Enclosure here.Now, only the Mediasonic PROBOX 4 Bay 3.5” SATA Hard Drive Enclosure with the 4 hard drives is working and my other docking station is not.My previous docking station "FIDECO USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station" showed up before in Disk Management again until I installed this Medi

I cannot connect to home Wi-Fi off the docking station but not on docking station.

1. I cannot connect to home Wi-Fi off the docking station but not on docking station.
2. When i'm on docking station system says i'm connected to home Wi-Fi, but when i browse says not connected.
3. Other devices connected to home Wi-Fi has no issue.
4. What steps can i take to resolve the issue other than updating Wi-Fi adapter driver?

• What is the make and model of the docking station?
  

The computer docking connections located on the bottom of the computer vary between computer models. For the docking station to work properly, the docking posts, eject mechanisms, and electrical connections on the docking station must be compatible
with the connections on your computer model.



Meanwhile, if the docking station is compatible, you may update the device drivers for your docking station and check if it works.



Update device drivers for docking station:

• Open the PC manufacturer support Web site, search for the
  Docking Station Driver for your PC model.
  
• Install the driver suggested and check.
  

If the issue persists, update the BIOS and try connecting the Docking Station again.



Note:

Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the
configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

can I use a docking station?

Yes you did...as a docking station is just for quick access to HDD's to move data back and forth. They do not add USB port or resources.

I have a docking station and use it all the time but mine is very different then most. Mine is built into my case.....and what a convenience that is. Just drop in either 2.5 or 3.5 inch HDD and in less then 5 seconds, system sees it and I have access to it. Once I'm done, I simply just remove my HDD as my built in docking station is set up for hot swapping.

As suggested and I think it's your best option, is to get a PCI card w/more USB ports. Simple and easy to install and if installed on the right PCI bus it may be on its own lane. All that means is it wont have to share "resources".
