    After resetting my window, whenever i start my PC and i try to refresh my PC, i press double click but my PC remains busy in scrolling and very late open refresh pop on desktop however remaining my laptop working fine. please tell me solution of my problem

    Desktop freeze after log in

    Hi Keith,

    In order for us to find out what causes your desktop to freeze after logging in, we would like to gather more information:

    • Did you make any recent changes on your computer prior to this issue?
    • What other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • When the computer freezes, do you get an error message?

    Margrave,

    If the problem symptom returns [Desktop showing the correct contents when looked at in File explorer but not when looking at the Desktop itself], right-click on an empty area of the Desktop and select Refresh.

    Many people have found that their Desktop's are not refreshing automatically and are forced to take this step. I searched & searched for a permanent solution but every suggestion I found either had no effect or had only a limited-duration effect.
