    Hello!

    I noticed that my speakers crackle, so I tried shutting one off, and it turns out that my right one crackles at high volumes.

    For now I just desactived it, but I was wondering if you knew of better fixes? (HP elitebook, updated drivers)

    Cannot change sound quality frequency/Crackling speakers

    Issues with my lenovo ideapad 330s Laptop:

    • Crackling speakers sometimes they are silent or in other cases they stay quiet no matter the volume.
    • Crackling in earbuds
    • cannot change sound frequency (grayed out)
    Note: The speakers were fine when i got it but after I reset windows theyve started crackling. Ive tried fixing my crackling speakers by:

    • uninstalling/reinstalling device drivers
    • reinstalling windows
    • creating new accounts
    • disabling every driver one at a time to see if that changes anything
    • checking internal cabling to make sure no wires are touching
    I still have yet to try changing sound frequency because its grayed out

    PS: nothing important is on the computer i dont mind losing anything.

    Help would very much be appreciated.

    Laptop speaker crackling noise problem

    Hello,

    My laptop has developed a very annoying crackling noise in the right speaker as of late. I started noticing it as I was listening to some music on it, and then it gradually got worse and worse to the point that I couldn't bear it any more. I do not get this problem when I wear headphones, it's just the right speaker acting up. The laptop is new (less than two months old) and still under warranty. At the moment I have turned the speaker off and I am only running off the left one when not using headphones. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Also, I don't think it's driver related because the left speaker works flawlessly and I don't get the same annoying crackling sounds when using headphones.

    Sound Crackles


    NGB5, there are several possible causes, so this cure probably won't work for you. But it worked for me.

    I had a crackling sound because my speakers were too high. By raising the volume through the Windows software, and lowering the volume by turning the knob on the back of the speaker, I got the same volume without the crackling.
