Windows 10: my router loses internet connection whenever i open or playing games on my pc why?

This has been going on for several months, and the only thing that has worked temporarily is restarting it. But after playing for a while, it shuts off again. I’ve tried different things, but nothing has worked. If I’m not using the computer, the router works as it should, but when I start playing a game, it shuts off.Pls help!

Losing Internet on a Wired Connection

PC is running Windows 7 64bit

Every hour or so one of my wired desktop PCs will lose internet connection for ~10 seconds. It's enough to kick me off any online games/webpages. Internet connection will come back, however any progress in games is lost.

It is not a problem with the cable, switched cables with my girlfriend's PC (right next to me) and I'm still losing connection.

Her computer doesn't lose internet. (Using the same router) Neither of our PCs have built in wireless connection capabilities.

 

When I lose internet connection, why do router LEDs remain on?

I have TP Link VR600 router. When I lose the internet, the normal 4 LEDs remain on - including the internet LED. Question: Is that a fault in the router? Further info: When I say "lose the internet", I mean that the following 2 things happen: - I lose Netflix on my Smart TV. The message number means lost internet. - In my Edge broswer, sites have no connection. If I then click my WiFi icon in sys tray to show list of providers, Poptelecom says no internet. BTW: - My router is connected to the Master Socket in the hall. - If I ever connect directly to the Test Point in the Master Socket for a couple of days (with cover and wires hanging out - supported by sellotape), I never drop a connection. - I lose internet several times per day. - My LEDs are, in sequence from L to R, Power, DNS, internet, WiFi, plus others such as LAN. When the internet is lost, the first 4 light all remain on - including WiFi. I'm not a techie, so I need to ask if it's possible for WiFi to be on when internet is lost? In fact, what is the point of router LEDs if they are always on - except after I reset the router by switching off power for 10 seconds. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Added: My contract and router are only 1 month old.

 

How to configure a wireless router and an ADSL router to provide an internet connection

I made a mistake when purchasing a faster wireless router and did not specify it should have an ADSL port. So to use it I have connected it's WAN port to a LAN port of the ADSL router.

There seem to be several ways of configuring these devices. Could someone suggest the "best" or "most beneficial" way please?

There are 2 PCs and one printer connecting wirelessly.

One of the PCs picks up a dynamic IP

The other PC has a static IP (192.168.0.200)

The printer has a static IP (192.168.0.210)

Wireless router

• Lan IP: 192.18.0.1
• WAN IP: 10.0.0.248 (static)
• WAN default gateway: 10.0.0.2

The ADSL router connects to the internet fine. I have turned off dynamic IP.

The PCs connect to the wireless router, the internet and each other ok.

The printer connects and works if set to use the ADSL router's default gateway (10.0.0.2) and a static IP (10.0.0.251). It connects but does not work if using the wireless router's default gateway (192.168.0.1) with a static IP (192.168.0.210)

I would like the printer to connect the wireless router and work...

I don't know why I selected DNS IPs. The primary is 062.024.134.005 on the PCs and wireless router. I get the impression this is a separate issue from the connections problem above.
