Windows 10: My screen dims automatically after I open apps. Windows 11

My screen dims, and yes I have turned off the auto dimming, settings. It happens when I open up apps such as Word, webex, kaltura. I just got the computer in April. Windows 11. It makes it horrible to use cause I can’t read anything I’m working. I haven’t found any resources to help with this issue. Laptop: Asus Zenbook Model number: UX3402ZA_Q409ZA

It sounds like automatic dimming, hopefully it is that, and that you can follow the screenshots I've provided, let us know if this helps or not

They're both off. But I started asking around people in my company, if they know something about this. And it turns out there's an easy fix. Plug in your power cable. :\
And so far it seems to work. Too bad I wasted 3 days trying all the fixes I could find ...

 

Windows 10 - Sceen Dims Automatically

I realize that the screen dims automatically on the PC. I will try to help you with this issue.

You may run the Power troubleshooter and restart the computer to check if this helps.

• 
  Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Control Panel”.
  
• 
  Click on “Troubleshooting”.
  
• 
  Click on “View all” and select “Power”.
  

Follow the on-screen directions to run this troubleshooter completely. Once this is done, restart the computer and check the status.

Further you may also follow these steps to reset all default power plans to default settings:

• 
  Open a command prompt.
  
• 
  In the command prompt, type “powercfg –restoredefaultschemes” and press Enter.
  
• 
  Close the command prompt.
  

Remember to restart the computer to check if that helps.
