    Screen goes to sleep after 2 to 3 minutes of inactivity

    Ever since upgrading to Windows 10, my surface pro appears to go to sleep after 2 to 3 minutes of inactivity. This happens on both battery and wired power. The screen goes dark, stays dark for a few seconds and then the lockscreen appears. Settings are
    set to turn off the display after 5 minutes on battery, 30 minutes on power. Sleep settings are 30 minutes for both battery and power. This issue does not appear on a desktop running Windows 10. Is there a setting I'm missing? Thanks.

    my screen goes out or time outs after less than 2 minutes of inactivity...never had this problem with windows 7...how can I extend the time before Windows 10 hibernates or just goes off. thanks

    Windows 10 laptop goes to sleep after 2 to 3 minutes

    While it seems to have solved the problem of going to sleep after 2 or 3 minutes of inactivity, I can no longer put the computer to sleep manually by pressing the power button. The screen turns black, but in less than 10 seconds it goes back to the date/time
    screen that preceeds login. I'll continue to check on this and if I find a solution, I'll report it.
