    My screen is dead laptop. Any suggestions what to do?


    My PC crashed froze. Rebooted by holding in power button. Screen is now black. But i think the PC has booted, as the key lights are powered on after i tried to reboot. I also tried booting to an external screen to see if there was anything there i could do, but that did not work either; external screen is black also upon reboot. Actually into my laptop's USB-C port i plugged a converter box to HDMI and connected that to an HDMI port on my TV; my laptop has no native HDMI port. I also tried a suggestion tomsguide on how to boot to safe mode when the screen is black, repeatedly power off b

    Laptop with broken screen How much?

    I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

    Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

    The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

    Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
