Windows 10: My screen is stuck at 96% with Windows 10 Update

It has been 2 very long days since I was able to access my PC. Automatic upgrade to Windows 10 is stuck at 96%. Nothing I've tried lets me get out of this screen. I can't access anything on that laptop, and even when I'm desperate I turned off the laptop with the power button, nothing changes. When I turn it on again, it automatically returns to the 96% screen. How can I stop this? Please help!

Feature Update to Windows 10, version 1709 stuck at 96%

As the title of the topic suggests, the update is just stuck at 96%. This is the second time I'm trying to download this update. The first time it was stuck at 95% and now this.

Is there any other way to download this update. And also, how should I cancel the update cause as I'm writing this it is stuck. Or should I just wait it out for it to fail by itself?

EDIT: It got solved on its own. Will reopen a new thread if any new error occurs.

 

Configuring update for Windows 10 stuck at 96%

Good day.

I'm updating from windows 8.1 to windows 10.

This is my second attempt to make the update.

The first time it took so long (stuck at 96%) that I left my laptop at the office. The morning after nothing changed and I was still on windows 8.1. Since then my laptop has been extremely slow (programs/windows explorer "not responding")

Busy with the second attempt and it has been stuck on 96% again for at least 3 hours.

What should I do?

I am doing a windows update on Windows 10, and it got stuck at 96% without showing any errors, it just got stuck there for almost an hour already.

I would appreciate any help on this issue.
