Windows 10: My screen randomly turns black and my computer restarts

    My screen randomly turns black and my computer restarts


    So when i'm playing or just sitting here watching YouTube or something my monitors just goes black and my computer restarts after like 20 seconds. Also perfmon /rel shows that shutdown was unexpected and there is one with hardware error. This started like 2 months ago and now it has gotten more frequent I think. It happens like every other day or so. I have tried some memory checks and factory resetted my bios with no over clocks, I have all drivers updated too. Windows has been reinstalled many times due to this issue, but it seems to still happen. So i'm coming here to ask you guys what coul

    Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

    This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

    ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.

    Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

    So my computer randomly just switches to a black screen, and the audio is much like that of a BSOD. Once I get back into windows it gives me a debug screen and it simply tells me it was a BSOD. People have been telling me it is a power supply issue, and I just wanted to get a few more oppinions before I spend a fair amount of money on something I really don't need.

    New PC screen turns black / restarting randomly.

    The BSOD was from HDaudbus.sys.

    Try reinstalling your audio drivers for this issue.

    But if you are getting shutdowns and screen turning black randomly I would recommend going for a replacement.
