    My Screen Says Locking and Shuts down..


    There is a big issue..Whenever i am watching any video or doing a class..My laptop automaticaly shuts down with a screen which states locking...Its a huge issue...And sometimes there comes a warning of overheating..but thats fixed now...still it comes...I had repaired it like just 3 days ago..There is no issue of driver or anything and not even screen saver issue..Please help! PLease help! Its is an Windows 10 Home Software..I have a HP 630 laptop...I had updated it for free from Microsoft website..It didnt happen when i was with Windows 7 Home.......Please give me a solution..It is getting out of hand...

    No Lock screen in Windows 10.

    Hi,



    I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Windows 10. I will certainly help you.



    This issue might occur if there is change in system settings.



    To assist you to better, please provided us the information below:

    • When you say that "rolling slideshow ", what exactly are you referring to?
    • When you say that "I can't activate it again.", are you referring that you are not able to Activate Windows 10?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps which you have performed to resolve the issue?
    I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen pictures.

    1. Right click on Desktop screen.

    2. Then click on Personalize.

    3. Click on Lock Screen.

    4. Try to select the lock screen picture.

    Lock screen woes

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

    I would suggest you to follow the below steps to try resolving the issue.

    Setting the timeout for Lock Screen

    • Press Windows + I and select personalization.
    • Select Lock screen.

    • Select the Screen Timeout setting.
    • Select the time of timeout you need and check.

    Keep us posted if the issue resolves to help you better.

    You can use your own image of any background and just go to settings/personalize/lock screen and click on browse as in the image below. It should make whatever picture you use as the Lock Screen
