    My screen shuts off in a few minutes...but setting is not that. How to stop it.


    My PC is plugged in and i see the correct icon indicating that in the system tray area.


    Reviewing settings, i have in the "Power & Sleep" setting, under "screen", "When plugged in turn off after" and it is set to "30 minutes". Then under Sleep, I have "When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after" and i have "2 hours".


    But, in literally about two minutes of sitting here and not hitting a key, the screen is shutting off. I then have to hit a key to wake up the pc and then i have to log in with the PIN again.


    What is going on? Is there another setting somewhere i need to change. This is a new behavior was not doing it yesterday for instance, have no idea what is causing it now. Help. Don't want to have to keep logging in with PIN every few minutes.

    Shutting off Nightlight

    When my screen shuts down at night I want the screen to be black and blank. Here are the steps I've been doing to accomplish that but I think it's not the way to do it. Help please.

    • Windows settings
    • Personalization
    • Lock screen
    • Screen timeout settings set at 1 minute
    • Sleep set at 1 minute
    The screen doesn't go black and dark instead it does a light gray screen which is too bright since it is located in a bedroom

    Why after setting the screen saver to 15 minutes does the display still shut off after 1 minute?

    I have read and followed the previous forum threads to attempt to stop the display screen from being turned off after 1 minute of non use. Screen saver and power options have been set to 15 minutes before I would want the screen to shut off to no avail.
    What's wrong?
