Windows 10: My SearchHost.exe is in my files but isnt running services!

my searchbar and windows button dont work and i checked if searchHost.exe is on there when i didnt see it in services. I went on my other pc and wanted to copy the SearchHost.exe from there. I first followed the path, where SearchHost.exe is suppossed to be donwloaded. I saw it was donwnloaded and its not runnning in services. When i press on the windows button or on the searchbar, nothing pops up, not even for a second. It just doesnt respond.

Cannot run .exe files

I rebooted my computer and it downloaded some updates. When it restarted, I could no longer run any .exe files. When I click on one, it asks me which program I would like to use to run it. Obviously, there are no programs on the list it offers me. The
weirdest part is that some downloaded applications (like chrome, thankfully) still run. Any suggestions on how I can fix this or what happened?
