I am using an HP Probook 470 G4. I usually use two displays with my HP monitor. But after changing the initial PC I had, which was a Dell machine, I have run into a problem. When I connect the laptop to the charging port, the second monitor gets disconnected and no longer shows anything, almost as if it is not working. I wanted help on how to work around this and also wanted to find out if this is a hardware or software problem. because it immediately moves all the items from the second display back onto the main display of the laptop. My hp laptop wont turn on

This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

• Disconnecting the battery and adapter
• Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
• This should clear the flea power

• Disconnect the Power lead
• Press and hold the Power Button for 30 seconds
• Connect the Power lead
• Re-insert the Battery
• Turn your System on
