Windows 10: My second monitor is flickering constantly after update to the latest driver

For context of the problem, below are my latest laptop settingsOS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OS Version: 10.0.19045 N/A Build 19045 My laptop model is X1 Carbon 1st Gen Type 34xx Laptop ThinkPad - Type 3443. I am using a mini display port dongle to project to the second monitor. The dongle is brand new. My graphic driver is Intel HD Graphics 4000 10.18.10.5161. How do i solve this flickering problems? I already tried clean installation of the driver and also tried to use the previous version of the graphic driver. Still the same. Thank you in advance

Monitor Dim and Flickers

I have a new Dell Inspiron 3668 cpu and running it with my old Dell ST2010 I have run the windows "troubleshoot screen flickering in Windows 10" from Windows help. When I go to task Mngr. it still flickers. So, I uninstalled the display driver as suggested
and then ran the "Check for updates". The problem still remains. Any further suggestions?? My next step is to just replace the monitor and assume Windows 10 will not run it!

 

Loosing second monitor by updating the graphic driver on win10-64bit

To rule out any driver related issues, we suggest that you uninstall and delete the affected driver, then download and reinstall the latest driver from the manufacturer's site. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows + X key, then select
  Device Manager.
• Locate and right-click the affected display adapter.
• Select Properties.

• Once you're done, run the driver software to install it manually.

Second monitor not detected

If Windows can't detect your second monitor, it's usually a driver problem. It could be due to your video driver being outdated, incorrect or faulty. It's also possible that your monitor driver is causing the problem.

Since the issue occurred after the latest update, it's possible that the video or monitor drivers require an update. Try looking for the updated version of the drivers on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

If the issue persists, try to roll back the drivers to the last good configuration. To do that, you may follow these steps:

• Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
• Right-click your device driver, select Properties, and browse to the
  Driver tab.
• Press the Roll Back Driver option if available, and Windows 10 will begin the process.
