Windows 10: My secondary HDD disappears until i restart my laptop.

Helloi have an Asus laptop that comes in with a 1 tb HDD drive and i recently bought an ssd 240 gb and replaced the dvd drive with a rack for the hdd so i can boot the system on the ssd and use the hdd for storage i'm pretty sure everyone is familiar with that.everything seems to work fine windows boots on the ssd and it's fine but my hdd drives that i use for storage disappear sometimes until i restart the laptop or put it to sleep and then turn it on again.it's a problem since sometimes i be using files from the hdd on a program that is installed in the ssd and suddenly it disappears.

Secondary HDD disappears after wake up from Sleep after installing Windows 10 build 1607

Hi,

I realize that the secondary HDD disappears after waking up from sleep mode. I will try to help you with this issue.

You may run the Power troubleshooter and restart the computer to check if this helps.

• 
  Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Control Panel”.
  
• 
  Click on “Troubleshooting”.
  
• 
  Click on “View all” and select “Power”.
  

Follow the on-screen directions to run this troubleshooter completely. Once this is done, restart the computer and check the touchpad status.

Further, suggest you to restore the power plans settings to default and check if it helps.

a. Right-Click on Start button, and click on Command Prompt (Admin).

b. In the command prompt, type “powercfg –restoredefaultschemes” and hit Enter.

c. Exit command prompt.

Note: This would reset the power plan settings to default. Any customized power plans are would be removed.

Restart the PC and check the status.
