  1. My settings app is missing multiple options.

My settings is missing the display tab yes, i have tried rmb on desktop and pressing display settings, it brings me to the settings home and its also missing windows update. I mean for both like completely, as if the option was never there. I also have an issue when trying to acces storage --> installed apps in settings it wont open installed apps when i click on it and i can not delete items now without an advanced delete screen or a 3rd party application.Does anyone know a fix to this?

    :)

Computer Sleep Option Missing in Settings

The Settings Power and Sleep menu in Settings should list Screen and Sleep, where Sleep is used to tell when the PC goes to sleep. Sleep is missing, so my computer never sleeps. Fast startup and Hibernate are not enabled. I used Tutorial Add or Remove Sleep in Power menu in Windows 10 to change the registry while in administrative mode, but sleep still is not seen. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FlyoutMenuSettings now lists :1: It was 0 before the change.

I cannot get a large image, so will type Default REG_SZ (value not set) ShowHibernate REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (0) ShowLockOption REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (1) ShowLockOption REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (1) I used Option 3 to add sleep using the Group Policy Editor. The steps seemed to work fine, but sleep is still missing. I’m using a “new” refurbished Dell T3500 workstation with mbr running the current version of win10. I have a number of these computers, and the other all have the normal sleep mode . Any suggestions? Jim

  3. Where did the settings option in Cortana's notebook go?

    Hi Stefen,

Issues with missing options and features of Cortana are usually occurring due to damaged system files. For us to provide an effective resolution, we would need you to answer the following questions:

    • What changes have you made to your computer before this issue occurred?
    • Were you able to follow the troubleshooting steps in the link that Marvelos Reg provided?

For further troubleshooting, we suggest that you create a test user profile. This is for us to verify if the issue is isolated with one user profile or with multiple accounts.

To create a test user profile, follow these steps:

    • Using Cortana search, type Settings and then hit the Enter key.
    • In the Settings window, select Accounts.
    • Select Family & other people.
    • Choose Add someone else to this PC.
    • Click I don't have this person's sign-in information.
    • Click Add a user without a Microsoft account.
    • Name the user as TEST and then provide a password.

    Update us on the results.

  4. My settings app is missing multiple options.

can I list multiple apps on one menu like in Windows 7?

    Hi Tamara,

Currently, there is no option to organize multiple apps on one menu in Windows 10. We suggest changing some taskbar settings to help with your concern. Follow the steps below:

    • Open Settings.
    • Click Personalization.
    • Select Taskbar on the left pane.
    • Choose the setting for Combine taskbar buttons option to
      When taskbar is full
      .
When taskbar is full option shows each window as an individual, labeled button. When the taskbar becomes crowded, apps with multiple open windows collapse into a single app button. Tap or click the button to see a list of the windows that
are open. For more reference, click on this link.

Let us know if you need anything else. We're here to help.
