Windows 10: my shift keys arent working anymore, what do i do

when i press down shift and hold to sprint in games or to use symbols or to capitalize the first letter of a sentence it wont work. it doesnt even let me use quotation marks or question marks. ive tried every suggestion posted on the website, troubleshooted the keyboard but theres nothing wrong. i even checked if the keys were broken by using one of the keyboard checker websites but they seem to be working fine.

hello , i have a problem that started like a week or two ago but it wasnt that bad because shift keys were stopping and working suddenly but 2 days ago it started persisting since now and i dont know what to do , i tried dezactivating sticky keys or uninstalling
keyboard in device manger or uninstalling some updates but nothing did the trick. i dont believe the problem is with the laptop keyboard which btw is an asus a550vx and the both shift keys arent working so there must be a problem. any ideeas would be appreciated

Since you have tried updating the driver, uninstalling and reinstalling, checking updates to make work the shift key, this might be an issue with corrupted system files or your BIOS needs to be updated. For better assistance, we'd like to know the following:

• Is your computer is freezing or crashing?
• Did you update the operating system of your laptop?
• Are you only experiencing the shift key unavailable to work with specific applications or on the entire computer?

Windows key > type and click find and fix problems > click
Configure a device under Hardware and Sound.

Both shift keys

Hello.
I have problem with Lenovo Idea Pad 100 laptop (OS: WIN10). After replacing HDD into SSD I faced a strange problem. Both Shifts of the keyboard doesn‘t work .
I have tried to:

• Check if sticky keys are off. They are off.
• Connect external keyboard via USB port. Shift keys on external keyboard works good.
• Check the keyboard on online tester which indicates pressed buttons. It can‘t indicate press of the shift
• Change several different input languages. The problem is on all of them.
• Reinstall keyboard driver
• Check if connection is OK. It is OK.
• Tried to run computer without screws (I have read in one forum that screws could touch the keyboard from the bottom and it wouldn‘t operate normal)

I believe that keyboard is not damaged because connector damage could cause just exact part of keyboard failure, while it is impossible to do physical damage for both shifts. Any solutions?
