    My Sister-in-Law died. The Executor of her estate asked me to salvage all of her stuff off her old Dell 1501 laptop, and then it will be sold at the estate auction. It had Vista on it, which was a major problem. So I bought Windows10, and paid for a digital license from Microsoft, AFTER I salvaged her personal data, and created a brand new installation of Win10. The next step is to remove myself from the laptop so whomever buys it at the auction will have to buy their own license to get it up and running, I suppose. But....how do I remove myself, salvage MY digital license for another ins

    Sisters New Dell have Windows 10 black screen.

    Dell Laptop

    intel Core i7 4500U CPU 1.8GHZ

    Memory 8GB

    I updated my sister laptop to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. Everything worked fine but after the reboot there is a black screen

    • Keyboard No response.
    • No cursor

    Tried following.

    • From Safe mode I tried to turn off the Fast boot " REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power" /V HiberbootEnabled /T REG_dWORD /D 0 /F "

    • Disabled the Monitor driver and restarted the windows but still no response.
    • **** + Ctrl + Esc no response
    • Alt + Ctrl + Del no response.

    I don’t want to reinstall from scratch. My sister has memorable pictures and videos in the Laptop.

    Microsoft please help.

    The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

    Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

    What is the RIGHT PROCEDURE to REMOVE Dell Bloatware

    Yes, I know this a a MS forum, but I don't want to screw my Windows 10 system up by removing/uninstalling all of the Dell bloatware in my system.

    I have a new Dell Laptop, Windows 10 Home, about 2 months old. My old system died and I did not have time to order a Dell Precision computer, which I understand does not contain any Dell bloatware.

    Anyway, I am finding Dell stuff all over my new system and do not know how ingrained this stuff is in the Windows 10 system -- and am a little worried about going in and just bulk uninstalling everything with a Dell name on it. [Another reason that I want
    to remove the Dell stuff is that I am getting a Windows Service Start Failure error that a lot of posts I am seeing attribute this error to some of the Dell support-ware stuff.]

    So I just wanted to check if there was a step-by-step procedure to follow in removing the software without affecting the Windows 10 system.

    So any help, direct or references to other people doing this would be appreciated.
