Today, 15 NOV 2024, my son's PC asked for more time through the family safety pop-up window. It then asked to verify the account. I tried logging in once and used the wrong password. When trying again, since a phone number was shown as an option, I put in my phone number, and then proceeded to go through password recovery. Once the password was set, we started the verification process over. -->he asked for time-->Family Safety asked for verification-->I logged in using phone number and password-->son's account immediately left family group and was put under the separate account I l

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble adding your son to your family safety group. The error code you provided is not familiar to me. However, according to Microsoft Support, you can try the following steps to fix the issue:

• Make sure that your son’s account is a child account and not an adult account.
  
• Check if your son’s account is already part of another family group. If it is, then you need to remove it from that group first before adding it to your family group.
  
  - let him login to family.microsoft.com to check if he belongs to a family group or not
  
• Try adding your son’s account again after a few hours or days.

Family Safety: Son's computer not recognizing changes in Windows 10.

This issue might occur if there is change in family safety account.



To assist you better, please provide us the information below:

• Have you tried to log out or restart from the child's computer and logging in to the computer?
• Are you able to see the child account in the Family Safety settings after removing it?

I suggest you to refer to the steps below to remove the child account from the family safety account and also turn on
Activity reporting.

If you had previously set up family features for a child account and then upgraded to Windows 10 , there are a few steps you need to take to turn on family settings again.
