My Sony E series SVE1513CYN laptop show maxcapacity of RAM as 0 after running command "wmic memphysical get maxcapacity, memorydevices"Currently task manager shows its 6GB already installed but Windows10 is lagging so thought of upgrading RAM but cannot find the maximum limit.if you could advice please.

Maximum RAM Capacity shows '0' in windows command prompt

I want to check up my maximum RAM Capacity in command prompt, so I use this code 'wmic memphysical get maxcapacity' the result is '0'. How to know the max capacity of RAM for Sony laptop

 

Why "wmic memphysical get maxcapacity" outputs zero value?

I have an old model laptop (Sony Vaio VGN-CR35G) and it has an intel core 2 duo T8100 processor. It runs on windows 10 and I want to use it for coding. It has two slots of ram and currently both has 1gb in it. I wanted to know if it is advisable for me to buy additional ram for it, and my problem is because it is an old model laptop aging for more or less a decade, I wanted to know it's maximum ram capacity. I did found some solution online saying that I can use cmd to see the information I needed using "wmic memphysical get maxcapacity" but it outputs zero value and I cannot be able to find the reason why. What should I do?

 

COMMAND PROMPT SHOWS 67GB RAM SUPPORT MOTHERBOARD & PROCESSOR 128GB

The processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz 3.79 GHz (Supports up to 128gb in RAM)

The mother board: Z490-A PRO (Supports up to 128gb in RAM)

Command Prompt (after typing wmic memphysical get maxcapacity) : Says the MaxCapacity (for ram) is 6710884 kilobytes = ONLY 67 GB?????

The main questions are: Can I upgrade to TWO 64gb ram sticks totaling 128gbs? Shouldn't that work fine?

Extra FYI: - The motherboard is "dual-channel" meaning only two ram slots are available

- I have currently only 32gb of ram with two 16gb sticks
