Discus and support My sound keeps cutting off and to fix it i have to disable and the reenable the speakers.... in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; My sound cuts put from time to time.     My sound keeps cutting off and to fix it i have to disable and the reenable the speakers....


    My sound cuts put from time to time. The only way to fix it is to disable the speakers and immediately reenable them. Im pretty sure this is a common issue. If i turn off audio enhancements this also works BUT after its off i can barely hear the computer... does anybody know how to fix this for good

    Sound cuts out on Right speaker


    Relevant info first:
    Windows 10 Home Anniversary Edition 1607
    Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.7541.
    Logitech LS21 active speakers

    For whatever reason, even during playback, the sound will cut out in the right speaker. Unplugging and plugging it back in solves the problem for a little while (1hr/2hr?).
    What I've tried so far.
    1. Chose a different output port. Problem continues
    2. Used Bluetooth headset. Problem not present.
    3. Used USB Playstation 2 sound adapter. Problem partially continues. The sound in the Right speaker is very low, but not mute as in the usual case.
    4. Reinstalled Realtek driver. No change. Installed x64 driver. No change
    5. Tried to find different USB sound driver. Logitech did not have one for the 97078
    6. Sound is consistent and fine on HDMI TV. The sound connection is going through the HDMI port on the Geforce GTX 660

    So I don't know what the deal is. I'm thinking it might be the Gigabyte motherboard (GIGABYTE H81M-D2V) but it could be system as well. I'm also tempted to hook up a radio or phone to the speakers to see if the Right speaker cuts out there as well.

    Disable beep sound when plugging/unplugging laptop charger

    I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

    Disable the PC Speakers and check if it helps.

    • Right click on Sound Icon in the task bar and go to Playback devices.
    • Select Speaker and click on properties.
    • Go to Levels tab, and mute (or you can reduce it) PC Speaker and check if it helps.

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue My sound keeps cutting off and to fix it i have to disable and the reenable the speakers.... :p
