Windows 10: My speaker/audio has been rigged ever since a Windows update came in July for me.

My speaker is always on 100 when I try to lower it. The only time when it shows a change is when I bring it to zero. Other than that, when I try to get it to even a single-digit volume, it gives off its 100%. Why??I am spotlighting Windows updates that came in July because I am sure that this started happening with me in July. It was working well in June. Please help me in fixing this issue.

What sound devices are listed in device manager, right click start, select device manager, show hidden devices, audio inputs and outputs, sound video and game controllers, post what is listed.

What audio device(s) where in the system before the message ?

Not plugged in could be that something that was plugged in is no longer

detected.

This issue may have been caused by a corrupted Audio driver or defective audio port.

To better understand this concern please answer the following questions:

• Are you still able to play music using a built-in speakers?
• Have you tried using other headphones or external speakers?

We also suggest that you run audio troubleshooter by following these steps:

• Type "troubleshooting" on the search box.
• Select Troubleshooting on the result.
• Click View all.
• Choose Playing Audio then follow the instructions.
