Windows 10: my SSD has a blue question mark on it why and how can i get rid of it

i lost my data SSD so i went in the bios and saw it wasn't there i tapped on the back of my notebook and rebooted it and it showed up so obviously a failure or connection. so when i went to windows 11 pro i found it no problem but a blue question mark was on it. so i l shut down opened up my notebook and reseated the SSD. rebooted and still had the ? marks. So to me that meant windows was leaving the broken link to the drive as a historical thing since all was working well. so i went to Device manager and drives and uninstalled all greyed out drives, rebooted no change. then i went to disk m

Blue question mark over internal SSD

I use a laptop in which I installed a 2 TB internal SSD, which has worked wonderfully without any problems for just over two years, now I can no longer access any of the files in the drive, and when opening fire explorer, there is a blue question mark covering the drive.

I attempted this fix here:
[Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment
Data Type: REG_SZ [String Value] // Value Name: DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES
Modify/Create the Value Name [DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES] according to the Value Data listed below.
Value Data: [1 = Show Devices / 0 = Hide Devices]

But nothing happened, granted I'm unsure if I did it correctly.

 

Blue question mark over drive icon

Win 10. I have a shortcut on the desktop for an external hard drive. It has a blue question mark over the shortcut icon. The drive works perfectly well. I can access it with not problems. What does the question mark mean and how can I get rid of it?

Thanks I tried that no change to blue ? mark it said I had pc on never to do automatic updates I change that from manual setting
