  1. My SSD is read only but I am unable to change it in properties?

Hello,I would like to put my gameplay recordings and documents on my D: drive, but it constantly asks for the admin password before i move them or just edit D: in any way. I'm unsure on how this happened, but I install my game launchers e.g. Steam, Epic on my C: and install my games on my D: My main account does not have administrator privileges but I can put in the admin password to do admin tasks like installing software. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

    :)

  2. Unable to remove read only property of folders

    Hi,

There are many possible reasons why this issue is happening. Let's try to change the security permissions to remove the read-only attribute. Follow the steps below:

    • Right-click the folder, then select Properties.
    • Go to Security tab, then click Advanced.
    • Click Change to the right of Owner.
    • Enter Users into the box, then click OK.
    • Enable the checkbox Replace owner on sub containers and objects, then click
      Apply.
    • If prompted that You do not have permissions to read, click Yes.
    • Completely close out of the Advanced Security Settings dialog.
    • Repeat step 1.
    • Go to Security tab, then click Edit.
    • Select Add.
    • Enter Users into the box and click OK.
    • Enable the Full Control checkbox, then click OK.
Get back to us with the outcome so we can help you out further.

How do I change (Read Only) on Microsoft Word

When I downloaded Windows 10 and used my Microsoft Word it was in (Read Only) and I tried looking up how to solve the problem including looking at properties on my document to uncheck read only, but it was already unchecked. I have tried all the steps suggested.
