Windows 10: My SSD spikes at 100% utilization and my computer freezes.

I'm on Windows 10 , at certain times when I launch a software or a game the usage of my ssd goes up to 100% and my Computer freezes and can sometimes crash , some games and applications take longer to launch ! Windows is installed on my ssd , I have 144GB of disk space left and it's a SSD_M.2_512GB_InnovationIT_QLC

Hey guys,

I've been having an issue with my computer for the last couple of months where it randomly freezes (could be simply using Word or playing any game), I've been trying to find a solution but I've been unsuccesful.

Whenever it happens, the task manager shows a 100% usage for the SSD without any real indication of what could be causing it:





Debating on buying another SSD to see if that fixes it.

Also, I found a post from 2016 with the same problem but I couldn't make Intel RST work on my PC

Random spikes of 100% disk activity on system drive.

Today I solved the issue, it was a persistent problem.
You have to update your kingston firmwere. That's it. Use Kingston SSD Manager
