My start and search box are not working. Plus, I have class not registered appearing above my icons on my taskbar. I have a show to put together for Monday and this happens.***Moved from Outlook.com/Personalization and ease of access/Using accessibility features***

Windows Search: Class not registered


Windows Search stopped working. The event log shows the entry:

The Windows Search service terminated with the following service-specific error:
Class not registered

If I attempt to start the service manually, a MessageBox pops up and tells me to check the Event Viewer (see above entry), and references a service-specific code error -2147221164.

I cannot search for docs from the taskbar, and cannot search within Outlook through messages, etc.

Can't access start menu or search box also get class not registered errors for IE

Installed Win10. After initial installation yesterday seemed to be working fine. Now, when computer starts up, I cannot access the start menu or select and enter text into the search box, and when I click on the IE icon or the Store icon I get a class
not registered error for explorer.exe

Neither Edge or the start menu will load on my computer. It just comes up with X class not registered.

Any suggestions?
