    My start button, start menu, windows settings, windows store and a myriad of windows...


    Whenever I press the windows key/start button, it doesn't work, neither do the shortcuts that require the Windows key. The only ones that have worked so far are Win+E for Explorer Win+L for locking, and Win+R for run. Alongside that, the only other things that work are Crtl+Alt+Del and Ctrl+Shift+Esc. Windows search functionality and Windows settings and the store are not working at all. They are not even showing up in Task Manager. I have tried many different solutions including SFC /SCANNOW, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in elevated CMD, both of which show that there aren't any

    Windows 9 start menu in action

    The only real usage issues with Windows 8/8.1 are the Start screen and Charms bar. Luckily they're doing away with the Charms bar and they've brought back the traditional Start menu, but with tiles.

    I liked the tiles, but the fact that it needed a whole screen was not very productive unlike Windows 7.
