Windows 10: my steam app wont show my wifi networks

Windows won't forget WiFi network

I have 3 old Wifi networks that I want to get rid of in the list of networks. All devices show them in the WiFi list and when i click Forget, they come right back. When I go to Manage networks in Settings, they're not there, but still show in the list on every device. How can I get rid of them? Windows Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042 The first image is the list of networks. I want to remove the Blackwellhome ones. The second is obviously the Manage Networks in Settings.

 

Wifi Networks not showing

On my Laptop if I wanted to change the wifi connection I would always see a list of the available networks when I selected the Wifi icon on the task bar.
Since the last major update to Windows 10 I find that when I select the wifi icon I only see the current connection





To see other networks within range I have to open the 'Network settings' and choose 'Show available networks' - then they show up.





Does anyone have any explanation for this - or possibly a 'fix' to show them all from the taskbar again.

 

wont install update on steam even when its connected to network

Hi, My computer model is a Dell Vostro 3590 i5 core. I downloaded steam but when i tried to open it it shows a "fatal error " that says steam needs to be online to update please confirm your network connection and try again. I am currently connected to my
home wifi but it wont update what should i do?

I tried changing the compatibility for steam to windows 8, and ive tried to turn off my firewall for a second but steam was already verified so i would not need to use firewall. And i dont no what to do please help.
