Windows 10: my subfolders in my Outlook email have disappeared

please help my subfolders are gone for my email. How do I retrieve them?

Emails disappear from subfolder in Windows 10 Mail, not Outlook

I have a new computer & use Windows 10 mail, not Outlook for office. I have made a subfolder & moved emails into that folder & when I go later to retrieve the emails, they have disappeared. Why does this happen & what can I do to resolve it?

I've followed that step, but no go 4 me.

The emails in the Inbox and Sent Items are synced well, but emails in the subfolders* not.

*subfolders: in the Inbox, I create a folder which is used to receive emails following certain rules.

 

subfolders have disappeared in outlook on office 365

I have office 365 on two machines (laptop and desktop) both with all patches up to date. I have, within outlook, connections to various email accounts. I noticed on desktop that my icloud email account subfolders have all disappeared (if I open icloud on
the web I can still see them or on my iPhone),.

I opened laptop to compare and watched as the subfolders disappeared one by one before my eyes.

I can only see inbox, sent items, deleted items, drafts, junk, outbox now - but no subfolders and the arrows to expand have disappeared.

I have tried removing the mail accounts and re-adding to no avail.

I have tried installing icloud for windows - but that has never worked and always tries to get me to repair the app and restart the machine when it says it has installed, then it tells me to repair the mail again in an infinite loop..... which never repairs
- it has never worked, but the email in outlook did use to work regardless

How do I see my sub folders again?????
