Windows 10: My Surface Laptop 2 thinks my samsung mzflwltomlh SSD is a mechanical hard disk

My drive is slow and being treated as a mechanical disk. When I run the ms System Information check it shows the correct model number Samsung MZFLW1TOHMLH-000MU 953GB but lists it as a mechanical disk?

Is there a way to update or fix the driver?

Changing hard disk to SSD: what's the best upgrade mechanism to Windows 10

Hi, I purchased a laptop few weeks ago which has Windows 8.1 installed.

The laptop has a normal HDD which I'm planning to replace with a SSD.

I've reserved the Windows 10 on the laptop. I'm just wondering that is the way to replace the hard disk and have Windows 10 installed on my new SSD?

If I let current Windows 10 to be installed on my laptop (with normal hard drive), and then create a windows backup and replace SSD and try to install the backup on SSD, does this work? This doesn't look right. I think I need a clean installation - but since
the upgrade is automatic I'm not sure if I can create a setup disk to be used as new for when I have SSD installed.

Autounattend should automatically take My SSD as Disk 0 and HDD as Disk 1

I am Using Lenovo Legion Y530.

I want to clean install Windows with Autounattend.Xml Answer File as GPT.

My Laptop Contains 1 Samsung M.2 NVMe SSD and 1 Hard Disk 1TB.

When I enter Disk 0 Wipe True in my Autounatten.xml Answer File. Then It will Wipe Which Drive SSD or HDD?

How to I Configure to Only Formatting The SSD as Disk 0?? Please Help me with Proper Procedure.

 

Win10 clean install on Samsung SSD 850 EVO

BLUF: SSD is not listed ubder "Where do you want to install Windows?"

Steps Complete:

1. I've create a Win10 bootable install usb.

2. I connect the new Samsung SSD 850 EVO via SATA.

3. I reboot PC and verify SSD is seen by the motherboard/BIOS

4. Begin Win10 install via usb.

5. Get to "Where do you want to install Windows?" and the SSD is not listed

Problems:

1. Samsung does not offer a driver for the 850 on their website

2. Cannot locate driver elsewhere

Unsuccessful Mitigations Steps Attempt:

A. Format & partition SSD via Windows Disk Management, then retried steps 1-5 above....same result

B. Clone existing HHD onto SSD via "Image for Windows" by TeraByte, then verified SSD contents via Windows Explorer....similar result

Can you please offer some advice on locating a driver for a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB drive? Or an alternative method?
