Windows 10: My system keeps crashing while i am playing games , as in the display goes blank BLACK...

I can add the Dump file could someone check and let me know what could be the cause

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Unable to play video games on Windows 10, black screen after log-in screen

Screen goes black while playing some games

I would suggest you to try the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Update display driver

1. Press Windows Key + R

2. Type devmgmt.msc and click ok

3. Expand Display Adaptors

4. Right-click on the driver and choose the option to Search

Automatically for Updated Driver Software

5. Your computer should find and automatically install the updated driver


6. After the installation is complete, Restart your computer


Method 2: Install driver in compatibility mode

If the first method doesn't help, I would suggest you to download the latest driver from the manufacturer's website and check if it helps. If there are no driver for Windows 10, you can install it in compatibility mode by following the steps below:

After you have downloaded the driver,

a. Right-click on the setup file
of the driver and select "Properties".

b. Select "Compatibility" Tab.

c. Place a check mark next to "Run this program in Compatibility mode" and select the appropriate operating

system from the drop down list.

d. Let the driver install and then check the functionality

I would also suggest you to check the system requirement of the games and see if it meets the requirement. It will be at the back of the DVD cover or you can contact the manufacturer for more information.
